Despite a woman's desperate attempt to fight off sleep and the recurring nightmare it brings, slumber prevails and the haunting figure of the Princess in Yellow intrudes upon her again.

This short film follows Melissa, a woman who is doing all she can to stay awake and thereby avoid the recurring nightmare of the Princess in Yellow. Her efforts are in vain as she eventually loses consciousness and the Princess returns, this time to mark her with the Yellow Sign; a harbinger of impending misfortune and doom. The Princess character and the Yellow Sign both relate to Robert Chambers' The King in Yellow.
